… in other words, you should join me on my next Zoom testimony call given under the name “Scarred Not Scared”. That simply means, I been through some stuff but I am not scared to talk about it. This is not your grandma’s testimony service (even though those were some of the best ones). This is a gathering for people from different backgrounds but we do have one thing in common, we love Yah! Even if you have just recently found out that your spiritual growth is important, I want you there too! The Bible states that “we overcome the enemy by the word of our testimony” (Revelation 12:11). That is what we intend to do each and every time we meet to glorify God and edify each other.
Let’s break that phrase down, if we may. What does it mean to overcome? Oxford Languages says that Overcome is defined as “succeed in dealing with” or to “defeat”. So who are we defeating? The enemy and an enemy is defined as one who “harms or weakens”. In this case, since we wrestle not against each other, the enemy is Satan himself. That is why we are seemingly up against something greater than us. The enemy’s plan is to defeat, harm and weaken us. The Word of God declares it boldly. The enemy is distintly here to “steal, kill and destroy” (John 10:10). He is the only adversary we have. It is not your boss, not your family member, not a former friend… it’s Satan. He is the one we are overcoming!

When you go to court or any other place to prove something, you usually have to provide a testimony. A testimony can be derived as proof that something happened by evidence provided. We are displaying proof that God can heal hearts. We are proving that we have experienced healing… in every way! We are displaying this proof because we are able to tell you what we were delivered from. We are the evidence! (I think I might use that as another tagline lol).
